The
main central fuselage section, which will be the base for the rebuild |
The
forward section of the centre fuselage, notice where the cleaning
has ended....for the time being at least, until the wings
are back on |
|
|
The rear section
of the centre fuselage. Some of the wing to fuselage panels on
the upper and lower sides of the wings have been re-fitted and
can be seen clearly in this picture
|
The
is the forward fuselage section, which was removed for transportation
to Brooklands. A lot of restoration work has already been carried
out here; including fitting new windows and overhauling the
doors |
|
|
The
tail section, with the recently refitted cargo hold door |
The
tail cone will be one of the last items to be put back on. It was
only unbolted and should only take a day to refit. |
|
|
This
is Concorde G-BBDG's left wing, this will be structurally re-attached
to the centre fuselage section using high tensile bolts and aluminium
channel. In the summer of 2004, the access panels were all re-fitted
to prevent water ingress. |
The
forward wings were simply held to the fuselage by way of links
and bolts. These will be re-hung on after the main fuselage and
wing
repairs are complete |
|
|
|
One
of the outer wings, these are held in place by multiple high strength
bolts. Recently the access panels have been refitted; the green
and red one are replacement ones for where the original ones were
missing.(these still need to be cleaned!)
|
One
of the final tasks will be to re-fit the landing gear, which has
already been prepared for fitting
