Droop Nose - Page 1

Probably the most instantly recognisable feature about Concorde is the droop nose. This actual nose used to be fitted to Concorde G-BOAF but was damaged by a hangar door in a ground handling accident in 1995 at Heathrow airport. Although not badly damaged, British Airways decided it would be easier and quicker to swap the nose with that of Delta Golf. The nose was kept by BA as a spare and has subsequently been repaired and has now been fitted to Delta Golf.
