With Air Salvage International working on the main rebuild, the core volunteer effort over the summer of 2005 was to repaint the main wings and aircraft fuselage whilst it was inside the tent. The original paint had decayed to such an extent that corrosion treatment was required on many areas of the aircraft to provided a sound area for the new finish. The Concorde specification paint was kindly supplied by PPG Aerospace |
