Restoration Diary 3rd March 2005 - the 5 main sections are moved into position Page 1  |  Page 2 The smaller crane is readied for first lift of the day Up goes the tail section Tail section loaded onto ASI's flatbed Lowering down Positioning the lifting gear on the forward fuselage Forward fuselage lifted lowered to special jog lowered to special jig Strapping down the fuselage The forward fuselage was left in front of the hangar till the end of the day Now onto the centre section.... 2 cranes were used here lifting it up from its present position The special forward cradle was used again lowering down to the jacks again, but this time in the centre of the road. next was the right wing It was lifted up to allow it to be worked on it was placed on a purpose built jig that will allow it to be positioned easily to the correct place
